Why England?
- Natural Conversation Practice
You practise constantly, not only in class, but also at the market, on public transport and in social situations. This enables you to use the language reflexively, without thinking. - Correct Accent and Pronunciation
Learning from native speakers helps you acquire the correct stress and pronunciation. This enables you to communicate more clearly and professionally. - Cultural Learning
Language is not just about words; by understanding the culture, you use the language more accurately and effectively. This enables you to use the correct forms of expression, especially in business life. - Increased Confidence
Communicating on your own in a foreign country boosts your confidence in using the language. The fear of making mistakes diminishes and your speaking practice accelerates. - International Career Advantage
Language training abroad strengthens your CV and sets you apart from your competitors. Employers view this experience as an indicator of discipline, adaptability and communication skills. - Networking Opportunities in an International Environment
You gain a global network by communicating with students from different countries. These connections create long-term opportunities both socially and professionally.

About England

The United Kingdom, also known as Britain, is a country that has been referred to throughout history as the “empire on which the sun never sets,” leaving a deep mark on the world with its political, economic, and cultural influence. The country, which has played a pioneering role in the global spread of English, has a capital city of London and a population of approximately 67 million.
Today, England is one of the world’s most attractive destinations for students wishing to learn English. Its rich history, architecture, cultural structure, and social life, as well as sporting events such as its world-famous football clubs and the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament, also increase interest in the country.
Economy
The UK economy is based on industry, finance, trade, and the rapidly developing IT sector in recent years. Thanks to its strong industrial infrastructure, major port cities, and well-established trade network, it is a highly active country in exports. These characteristics are among the fundamental reasons for the UK’s historical strength and economic continuity. World-renowned automobile brands such as Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley also reflect the country’s industrial strength.
Climate
The UK has a temperate oceanic climate. It receives frequent rainfall throughout the year, resulting in lush green landscapes. The Gulf Stream warm ocean current is the most important factor moderating the country’s climate.
Safety
In general, the UK is a safe country compared to other countries of its level. With increased global security measures in recent years, a safe environment is provided for citizens, tourists, and students alike. As long as the basic rules of caution required when in a foreign country are followed and the country’s laws are respected, there are no serious problems.
Accommodation Options
The most common type of accommodation for students in the UK is homestay. These families are accredited by the Department for Education and carefully selected by schools. Homestay accommodation is particularly popular among students studying languages because it is safe, includes breakfast and dinner, and offers significant advantages for language practice.
Alternatively, student dormitories are also available. Dormitories usually consist of single or double rooms, most of which have an en-suite bathroom and toilet. However, meals are not included, and the cost is higher than homestay. Weekly dormitory fees range from approximately £160 to £280.
Working in the UK
Students studying language courses do not have the legal right to work.
Language Schools and Education
The UK is considered the “capital of English.” Its proximity to Turkey (approximately a 4.5-hour flight), cultural diversity, prestigious accent, and quality of education make it one of the most preferred countries for language education.
Its main advantages include:
Wide range of cities and schools
Historical and cultural richness
Ease of transportation
Proximity to European countries
Numerous course options for different levels and purposes
The most popular cities include London, Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, and Cambridge. When choosing a city, living costs, social structure, climate, and school prices should be taken into consideration.
British Culture and Lifestyle
The United Kingdom is a blend of English, Scottish, Welsh, and Irish cultures. The British are generally polite, punctual, calm, patient, and rule-abiding. Law and order are central to life. The clearest examples of this are their patience in traffic, their strict adherence to the culture of queuing, and their refusal to cross on a red light.
Logic and practicality take precedence over sentimentality. They dislike exaggeration and ostentation; simplicity is important. They value people who are different and unique. They avoid asking personal questions, and sincerity develops over time. A culture of complaint is widespread, and official institutions take these complaints seriously.
Sports play an important role in their lives; soccer, rugby, and cricket are the most popular sports. Tennis attracts great interest during Wimbledon. Pub culture is widespread on weekends, while Sundays are reserved for rest.
